How do I find my missing xinetd file ?

Why can't I find the file /etc/xinetd.conf in fedora 14?

Anybody have an idea at the reason?

Some of linux have INETD

xinetd in redhat and inetd in debian

if inetd dont have you dont install service xinetd

rpm -qa |grep xinetd

Perhaps you did not install any none stand alone package

you can download latest xinetd from http://www.xinetd.org

but if you dont install and none stand alone program

directory /etc/xinetd.d will be empty
