AIDE returning a bizarre exit value

In Gentoo AIDE has started giving this after the Cron job has run.

The logs remind me of Windows logging (like "There has been an error") and aren't exactly helpful. I've copied it below and for ease of reading to: http://pastie.org/1996630

The log is:

*****************************************************************************

* aide returned a non-zero exit value *

*****************************************************************************

exit value is: 2

The e-mail output is this:

This is an automated report generated by the Advanced Intrusion Detection

Environment on localhost at 2011-05-30 10:27.

Errors produced (6 lines):

*****************************************************************************

* aide returned a non-zero exit value *

*****************************************************************************

exit value is: 2

De-Noised output removes everything matching (/var/cache/|/var/lib/|/var/tmp).

AIDE detected no changes after removing noise.

============================================================================

AIDE detected no changes.

Note the bit saying "AIDE detected no changes".

Why the errors ? Help appreciated !
