Gentoo baselayout - important update

It just came through today on SPARC64, are there any big changes I should know about it ? It overwrote quite a few /etc config files. Thank you.

I used etc-update carefully as usual and it broke my /etc/conf.d/network file !

I have terminal server access luckily so could bring it back up but it's quite a big Gentoo change.

I've just had to update baselayout on my x86 server, I've yet to reboot it but I followed the notice after doing the upgrade and move config settings as instructed.

Restarting services on the server went ok, however as I'm waiting until I have physical access to the server before I try restarting it just to be safe.
