Squid will not cache images properly

I have this config, does it look okay ?

cache_mem 32 MB

cache_dir ufs /var/spool/squid 100 16 256

coredump_dir /var/spool/squid/cache

acl manager proto cache_object

Check:

1)log file of squid

2) /var/spool/squid any objects ?

3)remove acl and check what happens
