Assistance with LDAP SASL please

I am stuck with the configuration of LDAP to support SASL authentication.

1. Principal has been created for ldap.

2. cyrus-sasl has been configured.

3. ldapsearch displays that it supports SASL

How to troubleshoot it further ?
