Instant message broadcasting server for private jabber accounts

We'd like a private chat system for IM for our company. I think they use the XMPP protocol but we know it as Jabber.

Any good alternatives to Openfire ? It looks a bit clunky.

This is an excellent tutorial for Openfire. I don't think it's too bad at all. Worth trying out if you haven't.
