Should I check MD5SUMs on ISO Downloads ?

I've just downloaded ubuntu-10.04.2-dvd-i386.iso from:

http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04.1/release/" target=_blank title="http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04.1/release/\">http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04.1/release/">http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04.1/release/" title="http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04.1/release/\">http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04.1/release/" target=_blank>http://cdimage.ubuntu.com ...

The download list includes a list of MD5SUMS, in particular for my ISO;

e1b88a1d9cc625ce45bb26fba8fa855c *ubuntu-10.04.2-dvd-i386.iso

My question is, should I be checking the MD5SUMs on ISO downloads, and if so, how?
