ARP flux

If I read right this means that sometimes you get a response from a different MAC because two are available on one Server and both interfaces can reply if something like ip_forwarding is enabled.

Am I understanding correctly though ?

The problem is more when the two interfaces are on the same subnet (which you shouldn't do anyway). See also the arp_ignore sysctl.
