Bashrc different on FreeBSD ?

I can't see how to load up bashrc on FreeBSD. Is it different than Linux ? I don't have root access.

In home directory have 2 files

.bashrc and .bash_profile

these files are hiden file

ls -a u can see these files

I see what it is.

It's ignoring .bash_profile but .bashrc as a symlink to that file works fine at login.
